Are You Willing To Pay The Price?

Have you ever been working on something and had something goes wrong? Or when there are multiple ways to accomplish the same goal? What do you do when that happens?

Destination Via Multiple Routes

For example, when driving, there’s (almost) always more than one road to take to reach a specific destination. Many times, the road we choose is the one that we want because it is easier, faster or just plain prettier.

But, does that really make it the best road to take?

Learn First Or Do

As you may know, I’m creating an informational product related to one aspect of Internet Marketing.

I could skip the additional bonus training that has been provided in the Partnership to Success training and put together “something.” (Keep in mind, most likely this something would be lower quality and will need revisions.)

Or I could invest the time to do the extra training (or to go the extra mile in some cliche’s) to develop a better guide that more fully addresses the needs of my community.

The Price

Accomplishing any goal is not only an investment of time. More often than not, they are an investment of energy, hope, patience and pride.

It takes energy to keep moving toward your goal, no matter what your excuses may be.

It takes hope that reaching your goal is possible, even when there is no end in sight.

It takes patience to know that there is progress being made, even when you don’t see massive results.

And, it requires one to swallow their pride and become willing to learn and change to accomplish those things you are trying to accomplish.

Growing Pains

The “swallowing my pride” part is the hardest. It is where I would confess to not having all the answers and finish the bonus training before creating my product.

So, even though it took more time and energy, I finished the bonus training.

As Robert Frost would say, “And that has made all the difference.”

Make The Investment

It’s easy to give advice when you don’t understand what someone is going through.

It’s more valuable to give support when you do understand.

As a busy person living in this demanding, fast-paced world, I know the challenges that I’m facing. If you really are serious about being an internet marketing professional, then make the investment.

The financial investments is probably the smallest cost of all the prices to be paid. When it comes to paying with your time, energy, hope, patience and pride, make the investment. The final outcome is worth it.

    Hi Rachel,

I must agree with the investment of time is the biggest cost, to be honest it is the one thing that slows me down as there is always something else that needs to be done!

I will not go into all the excuses I have used over the years, but the positive is I keep coming back and having another go and the lesson I have learned is that the people on this course who have been consistent have been given their rewards and I have witnessed that first hand.

    Good luck.

      Thank you, Paul!

I appreciate you sharing the “results!” Being consistent in the long run is what produces the long-sought rewards.

    Hi Rachel,

I agree with you completely. While time and energy are the major investments you make, no amount of money can propel the results for you. Good one I’d say!

Exactly! The way I understand what you say is by thinking of how the time and energy is invested.

I wonder if that’s where the term “sweat equity” comes from…

      Thanks, James!

    Hi Rachel,

I have to agree with you on the time as investment. I have a burning desire to turn out a great product whether it be my blog or a product in the future. However, sometimes something inside says, Go, Go, Go!! It is so hard to hold myself back at that point.. Somewhat like a racehorse at the gate.. There are times when I feel like I just need to run and not be too predisposed with where too.. True, that usually winds me up “Lost” but “Hey I Made Great Time”.. **shaking my head slowly** Slow Down Girl, Slow Down.. LOL

Look forward to reading more from you.. Drop by sometime, We will chat!

    All the Best,

    Lucinda (Lucky) Brummitt
